The one thing about relocating to a new city and state for me is that I need to find those healthcare specialists that will treat my physical ills and ensure my well being as well as find those individuals who I go to see weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or as needed.
After not having my monthly massage since I arrived in Indianapolis, I asked a couple of coworkers for recommendations. Lynn has always been a good resource. He’s batting a 100. However, for the massage, I went with Jennifer’s recommendation of Massage Envy and I have found my new massage home. I made the mistake of asking for a deep tissue massage. I swear Kanesha tried to reach the bone through the fat and the muscle. But, I came out feeling like a tenderized piece of meat and felt all the tension and knots in my shoulders melt away. I did tap out on the massage table and say “Ow!” But, I’ve found my Donna replacement . . . I think. LOL! 🙂
On a lark, I went to the Walmart closest to work on Friday, December 9th. It turns out that they have a threading shop. Now, it’s been years since I tried threading. Unfortunately, the first time that I tried it in Phoenix as an alternative to waxing, I ended up not only having the hair follicles pulled but some of the surrounding skin as well. But for $14, I got my eyebrows & lip done as well as had a couple of those pesky chin hairs removed. Thanks Mom & Dad for the genetics! (NOTE: That thank you is filled with sarcasm.) Although there were tears in my left eye that welled up on a couple of areas from the quick stings of the hair being pulled, it was all good. I have found my dehair home!!! 😉
I’m still searching for a couple of specialties and still need to try a couple of places, but I’m slowing but surely finding my support staff and services hear in Indianapolis.
